While Janish Woodworks, Inc. has been in business for 20+ years, this month marks our 1 year anniversary for our retail location. It has been an exciting year, and we can’t thank you enough for your support.
Here’s a look at our first year -
We’ve attended business expos, craft shows, and a carving show. We even held a couple of painting workshops at our store using our bark on oval plaques. It has been our pleasure to have displayed a military exhibit, “Some Give All,” made by one of our customers, Dan Kaminski, for the past few months here in our store. We also held a chainsaw carving demonstration in our parking lot during a couple of holiday weekends.
You asked – and we delivered! After multiple requests for barnwood, we now carry both hand-hewn and circle-sawn barnwood beams for mantels or other projects. Cutting boards, wooden flags, tables, epoxy, and Odies Oil are just a few of the new products we’ve started carrying since opening last June. The laser engraving side of things has really expanded and progressed by adding new lake/river designs, new generic designs, and multiple custom order requests. From tumbler fundraisers at a couple of local schools to engraving on new mediums such as leather and glass, we are ready to help with your next project. You may have seen some of our lasered plaques in your travels - some of our more popular designs are being wholesaled to various gift shops throughout the state of Michigan.
This first year has truly been one to remember. Whether you’ve just stopped in for a visit, browsed our website, shared our Facebook & Instagram posts, or even purchased from us – we thank you for your support of our small business. We are so very fortunate to be on this journey with family. Be on the lookout for what we have in store for year 2!
